吃完饭还可以在这里喝下午茶

After dinner, you can also have afternoon tea here

坐在小亭子里休息

Zuò zài xiǎo tíng zǐ lǐ xiū xi

Sit in a small pavilion  to rest

我们就是在这里休闲了一下午

Wǒ men jiù shì zài zhè lǐ xiū xián le yī xià wǔ

We spent the whole afternoon relaxing here

孩子们玩耍

Hái zi men wán shuǎ

The children played

大人聊天打扑克

Dà rén liáo tiān dǎ pū kè

The adults chatted and played poker

我们好久没有打扑克了

Wǒ men hǎo jiǔ méi yǒu dǎ pū kè le

We haven't played poker in a long time

这让我回想起了生孩子之前的一些时光

Zhè ràng wǒ huí xiǎng qǐ le shēng hái zi zhī qián de yī xiē shí guāng

This reminded me of the time before I had children

这里的消费比较高

Zhè lǐ de xiāo fèi bǐ jiào gāo

The consumption here is relatively high

所以我晚饭点的都是不太贵的菜

在外面的餐厅吃饭不太健康

Eating in external restaurants is not very healthy

他们用的油不好

Tā men yòng de yóu bù hǎo

The oil they use is of poor quality

而且重油重盐

Ér qiě zhòng yóu zhòng yán

Moreover, they use excessive oil and salt

也就是说油和盐都放得很多

Yě jiù shì shuō yóu hé yán dōu fàng de hěn duō

In other words, they add a lot of oil and salt

吃的时候味道很好

Chī de shí hou wèi dào hěn hǎo

The taste is very good when eating

吃多了油腻

Chī duō le yóu nì

But eating too much makes you feel greasy

吃完了口渴

Chī wán le kǒu kě

And you feel thirsty after eating

反观自己家里做的饭菜

Fǎn guān zì jǐ jiā lǐ zuò de fàn cài

On the other hand, the meals cooked at home

虽比不上外面的味美

Suī bǐ bù shàng wài miàn de wèi měi

Although they are not as delicious as those outside

但清淡健康

Dàn qīng dàn jiàn kāng

They are light and healthy

用的食材和调料都是精挑细选的

Yòng de shí cái hé tiáo liào dōu shì jīng tiāo xì xuǎn de

The ingredients and seasonings used are carefully selected

所以我们更喜欢在家做饭吃

Suǒ yǐ wǒ men gèng xǐ huan zài jiā zuò fàn chī

Therefore, we prefer to cook and eat at home
